What if all the streets were rivers?

If all the streets were rivers I think that there wouldn't be any global warming. We wouldn't necessarily have to have fights over oil to use for gasoline because we could all use canoes, kayaks, or paddle boats. If we would all use those instead of motor boats we would all be in a healthier and the world wouldn't be as polluted. We would probably still have traffic jams but then again maybe not depending on the water level and how fast the water is going. I don't think I would like living with all rivers and no roads but I would like it sometimes like when I want to go fishing or just for a boat ride.
